I'm fairly confident this guy is a Philodromus rufus. We just call them car spiders because 90% of the time you see one it's on a car, not sure if that's a widespread thing or just something my family does though. Never seen one build a proper web but they'll leave trails all over; my windows and dashboard have so many strands of web on them right now it's unreal.

Good call on the species. If they like your cars, its because thats a good place to find prey and hide. Many spiders leave a drag line of silk weather they make webs or not.
