My friend sent me this picture of a spider he found in Argentina, South America. There are always interesting spiders at his house and I was wondering what kind this one is.

This some variation of a orb weaver. As far as I know they’re harmless but they make very pretty webs.
They are venomous but they’re venom is non-toxic to humans and they’re not aggressive.
