Comments & ID Thoughts
It looks like a jumper spider; do not know exactly what kind. It lives inside my screened patio and I often find it on a door, center beam, or this orange Home Depot bucket . It seems very interested in humans? Very tiny spider.

Hi there! You are correct about the identification. This looks like Anasaitis canosa, the Twin-flagged Jumping Spider. Jumping Spiders have excellent vision and are very inquisitive, sometimes jumping on objects held near them just out of curiosity.
Thanks for the info!! I am NOT a spider person , but this guy is so cute. He now jumps on my chair while I’m reading, and looks at me. Not afraid of me at all.
Good job at having a spider buddy. I’m so glad you appreciate him. Jumping spiders are the best spider ambassadors. Have you seen Lucas the Spider? He’s an animated jumping spider, and very cute.
