All black. Small body. Living on garden gate. No visable web. Doesn't look like a cellar spider. Any ideas?

Greetings! This is a harvestman (Order Opiliones), an arachnid related to spiders but lacking both silk and venom. They are both gentle and delicate and may be safely handled by shepherding them into an open hand. If he is in your way, you can get him to move by picking a blade of grass and touching one of his legs. He should move in the opposite direction. If that fails, you can prompt him by blowing on him and tapping him more with the blade of grass.
Thanks for this information.
He can stay where he is for now. There are 4 of them camping out there. All wildlife welcome in my garden.
You are very welcome! I’m so glad to hear that.
