Saved from a puddle in the middle of the street. We moved it to a grassy garden area. It is such a beautiful spider. About an inch long not stretched out. Bright orange and yellow. I have never seen another one like it. I would love to know what it is. Any help would be appreciated.

That is an orb weaver. It’s rare to seem them during winter tho.
She’s a Marbled Orbweaver, Araneus marmoreus. This on is an elderly female -exhausted after ovipositing all of her eggs. She managed to live into December, which is pretty good.
