What is this! I am in Vietnam and have not seen many bugs minus cockroaches and this is the first bug I see..

Also moves very fast
Hi. Your little friend looks to be a huntsman spider, a few species throughout Asia and not certain which. They can be fast if spooked, A challenge to catch by hand, no threat to you though.
Got cockroaches, These run them down and eat them. Worth having one about.

Your huntsman may get 12 CM across the legs, just a lot of leg.

It ran faster than my eyes could keep up with. I’m in Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh and about 3 inches in length. Isn’t it venomous if it’s a huntsman? But there is a village of night roaches, so it makes sense. Still no harm to me?

Hi. I had a similar huntsman live in my room the longest time, they can take some getting used to, but before long you just think of them different. I named mine Zeus, even gave him a couple bugs with tweezers. One that hangs around you can actually get attached to and miss them when they vanish. now you go poke a finger at their face, their bad eyesight can mistake for a bug and get tagged.
