Somewhat large (1 inch or so) and looked black or dark brown. Was thinking common black house spider or possibly hobo. Don’t think it’s a brown recluse.

Looks like a Ground Spider in the Gnaphosidae genus. There are a few dark-colored species found in Montana so I’m not able to tell which Ground Spider this is. They are completely harmless by the way so there’s nothing to worry about.
