Comments & ID Thoughts

These spiders were very common to see at our cabin in the Tena, Ecuador. They were in the bathrooms and on the wooden planks on structures. We were staying in the Amazon rainforest. They were about the size of a large mans hand or a dinner plate even. I am curious if they are the Brazilian wandering spider!

I’m not sure off-hand. My first thought is that it is a Huntsman, Heteropoda venatoria. I’ve read that people who live in tropical places generally welcome these spiders to live in buildings for insect control.
