I believe you’re correct I think it’s Steatoda nobilis. Apparently it has a bite no worse than a wasp sting. I hope this helps.

I agree on the genus, but the dorsal markings point to S.grossa.

Thanks for the feedback. I carefully removed the spider as I don’t want the spider biting me while asleep.
