Guessing a species of house / garden spider? Although was found in my pile of firewood outside so would lean away from the “house” species. When uncovered from its log it would run to instantly find cover under more leaves/wood/debris in my yard. Definitely not a web spinner (Id assume)

Sorry for this but after looking at this picture I realized I made a mistake. It is actually a different genus of Hacklemesh Weaver, called Amaurobius. Here is the most likely species https://bugguide.net/node/view/950990/bgimage
