Same spider from earlier submitted, in a grey container. Now it is darker, semitransparent? Or color change?

This is a good photographic comparison of what I’ve seen too. When they get dark they are close to the time of their next molt. They can be nearly black before molting.
Would it change in hours though?
I did see the spiders darken in hours . We’ll find out if your spider molts. It’s oddly shiny too. I suspect that some spiders have undocumented abilities to change colors. Shamrock Orbweavers, Araneus trifolium, is one I wonder about. I haven’t found one yet to test it with different colors.
