This one was quick, and crawling through our living room. The spider was about the size of a fingernail. We live on the edge of some woods in a duplex built in the 90s.
Not sure what it is- could be a Parson’s spider but it lacks the pointy ends. I think it might’ve had the bulb like things, it’s just hard to tell from the picture.

We found one too. Versailles, MO. Same clear front legs, banded back but slightly skinnier. Found him crawling on our ceiling.

Wow, striking similarities. It’s interesting that there haven’t been any sightings in Missouri yet on this website. Since posting this I’ve seen several more. They seem to be more resistant to the poison we sprayed the walls with than wolf spiders are.
We have a lot of brown recluse in our home and use the spider sticky traps like crazy. They’re very effective since they like to be in the places where the traps work best, but if these spiders don’t go in the same places we’re going to have a hard time too. My 5 yr old was bitten by something that left a lump. I suspect a recluse, but Doc says it wasn’t. Maybe it was this? I’m searching right now. 🙂
Best of luck!! I hope you can find out. :/
