It IS a long legged sac spider, more the outdoor species than yellow sac spider you find indoors. Studies show these are harmless though.

No problem. for people that never studied arachnids, everything you think you know spiders is all wrong.
Have a new one to identify. This was on my bedroom wall. There appears to be another one on my ceiling! Picture ID is 194489
This is a jumping spider, family Salticidae. Certainly Phidippus genus.
Most likely Phidippus audax.

Probably a more popular pet spider than tarantula.
