I think this is a common grass spider, also referred to as a funnel weaver.

He was in an umbrella that got left outside after a storm. My husband shook out the umbrella and the spider fell out. We were surprised although seeing what the spider emitted, I’d say he was more surprised! We scared the poop out of him!
