Comments & ID Thoughts
This spider is located in Jacksonville Oregon. (Southwestern part of state). It is about the size of a quarter. It lives in and under a mailbox. Hoping to find out if it is poisonous as my wife delivers mail to this box daily

Hi, she’s an Araneus diadematus, a cross orbweaver. They are calm and the venom is relatively weak to humans. The spider and humans can co-exist safely by avoiding pressing skin against the spider in a way that makes her fear getting squished. Also keep more distance if there are egg sacks or spiderlings in the mailbox. She may bite to defend them.
