She just appeared with a giant web on my room this morning. Seems harmless enough, only time she's gotten mad was when a fly crashed into her and not the web. Her name is shelly

I was just looking through the pictures and came to the conclusion that it’s a barn orb spider
Hi, this is a black and yellow banded garden spider, Argiope aurantia. She’s a type of orb weaver. I like your story about the fly!
