This was found on the floor in our bathroom last night. I was thinking maybe a wolf spider due to the size and the fact that it was just crawling around – no web in sight. But it doesn’t seem to have the markings on the back that most pictures of wolf spiders show so now I don’t know????
That looks very much like the one I’m trying to id. I have narrowed it down to either wolf spider, grass spider or something more sinister like hobo spider. Since I just posted my pics, I hope to find out soon!
This is from the family of Lycosidaes! Either it is a Trochosa Ruricola or a Pardosa, commonly known as the rustic wolf spider. It is a large spider that when slow cooked over a small campfire it packs a mouthful of tasty goodness!!! Mmmmmm my mouth is watering just looking at this specimen.
Hi, this is a Wolf Spider (Lycosidae), Tigrosa helluo. 🙂
