Yes, Gasteracanthantha cancriformis. Thank you for helping with IDs Trahearne! This species can be identified by the six spines, the colors vary. There is another really spiny genus, micrathena, that are really weird looking creatures. They have a greater or fewer amount of spines than your spider. Freshigirl2000, is this a spider on a stringed instrument pick/plectrum?
