Possibly araneus diadematus, female. Looks like her abdomen has been squashed.
I agree with the ID. That not-so-flattering flabby abdomen means she probably deposited her Autumn eggs and she’s feeling a bit deflated. After they fill the egg sack they seem to need to go out for a drink. It must be rather dehydrating to push out dozens of eggs and the silk to wrap them in. A lot of photos have come in showing female orbweavers on wet pavement in Autumn.
