So with its leg span, this thing was the size of my hand or larger. It's brown, and I'm extremely arachnophobic so that's honestly all I can really tell you about it. I've tried looking it up and am not sure if it is possibly a fishing or huntsman spider, or entirely something else. We also found one of these in our old unused smoke house while cleaning it out the week before.

Hi, this is a dark fishing spider, Dolomedes tenebrosus species, quite harmless in spite of size.
I guess just picking it up and send it on its way is much for you.
