Comments & ID Thoughts
No clue as to what species this is, saw it on an instagram post and was intrigued by the odd formation on its hind legs.

I saw this Spider in Belize, could post pics, any help on identification?
Hi, thank you for clarifying that it isn’t your photo. It is an odd looking creature. It might be in Order Opiliones, different arachnids than spiders. They have the body sections combined under a single segmented exoskeleton, instead of the two segments spiders have or the three segments insects have. Someone more familiar with the Opiliones may still have more info for you or tell you that I guessed wrong.
Thanks to you pointing me in the right direction I was able to identify it as Acromares Vittatum. Thank you so much!!!!
That was fast! You’re welcome 🙂 That’s a genus I didn’t even know existed, It’s pretty cool!
Sweet!
