The colors and patterns vary with gender and developmental stage. Mature males have a dorsal row of orange-red marks. Mature females usually have a row of white dorsal marks like: ( ) ( ) ( ) except sideways, down the abdomen. The hourglass on this species is reddish orange.

There are a few black widows with the hour glass but this is the 1st one ive seen this color
