Found in a bunch of grapes,bought in a supermarket in Leeds,England,the grapes originated in Africa

There was also a spider sac attached to the grapes
Hi, unfortunately this is the wrong side of the spider for an ID, this is the underside – ventrals can be difficult to recognize. If you have the dorsal view feel free to submit another image.
Could you upload a pic of the spider so we can see it from above?
Whatever it is i think we can see enough to know its nothing potentially harmful as it definitely isn’t a widow or recluse species.

Anywhere else, that would sound sarcastic 😉 but me too! Shopping in for organic produce shoulf give the best chance of bonus spiders. A produce dept. manager told me that there are more ‘spiders in grapes’ incidents because more countries are decreasing pesticide use so their produce can go to grocery chains that will pay more for organic produce. Yay! There’s even a Table Grape Spider ID on IDTOOLS.ORG Produce still in shipping boxes probably has more spiders than that of refrigerated tables. Now I’ve added something to my mental grocery shopping list (organic spiders).
