There are literally thousands of this spider in my yard. Every step you take, ten spiders move away from your foot. They seem to all be of this species and I think they may like my yard because before I fixed an outdoor plumbing issue, it was basically swamp land. At this point it’s all mud until the grass grows. I’m assuming this is a wolf spider as I’ve found a similar one in my house and had it identified as a wolf spider through this website.
