Look who I found in the grass!
Beginner’s Luck! I think she’s Latrodectus hesperus, a Western Black Widow. Don’t use the photos of this species on this site to look at, they are misfiled and the wrong spiders are there. It’s complicated ;( . Bugguide.net has great photos.
If so then juvenile… not sure its in the right range
Yes it’s juvenile. I went by the range of what we have for confirmed (by our moderator) sightings for the state.

She was about the size of a grain of salt. How I managed to get this picture with my temperamental camera I’ll never know.
Wow definitely a juvenile then!
Wow! Some of my better pics of small things come from when I was trying to take a pic of something bigger and the little spider or insect happened to be in the photo.
