Since you think it resembles a Cat Face Spider, Araneus gemmoides, that’s probably the most likely answer. The scientific thing to do is call it Araneus spp. and let others weigh in. The big guy has 2 horn likes points on it’s back. Which reminds me of a cat spider. My daughter found it in her bedroom
When I went to take a picture it was hiding from me moving it onto a severing spoon. When it started to crawl away it filled half the spoon.
