Thank you! Are you sure about this one? I’ve researched the species and this spider didn’t have much of a pattern on its abdomen, and it’s quite dark in color which I haven’t noticed about this species.
Yes, I’m reasonably confident on this one … here’s an example of a dark one, the pattern is faint but what I can make out looks consistent enough.

There’s only one other species in the genus and the World Spider Catalog lists the range for it as Mexico though I remember hearing once it was possibly also in the US too though I don’t know to what extent or how to differentiate them. Of the two hooki is the likely one though. The palps are too small for it to be a Kukulcania.
