Yes! Is this the first one you’ve ever seen? I haven’t seen one yet, but there will be trips to warmer places in my future 🙂 I’ve already started hunting my indoor spiders in desperation. My digital thermometer stopped working, I don’t know exactly how terribly cold it is here. Enjoy your tropical spider paradise!
Thank you! I found this spider in a cactus garden in the library of my hotel. The space is quite open, with no wall from one side, so it was hard to decide to classify it as indoors or outdoors, but I settled on indoors. Also, I’m a bit surprised I haven’t seen any larger Mygalomorphs that this place is famous for. Then again, this isn’t the rainforesty part of Ecuador, but more cloud forests and dry land.
