Greetings Folks. I believe this is some kind of orb weaver. I could be wrong. Please help in identifying this species.
Hello, when you take 3D videos of spiders do you have the ability to later rotate the video images to get still photos of any side of the spider? We mostly use the dorsal plane for spider identification from photos. This is an Orbweaver, the web design is the best clue. The way this one is standing above the web, rather than having the body on it, suggests genus Leucauge. There are several species in India in that genus or similar ones. Hello. Thanks for your reply. I do not know about 3D videos. I had to lean over a rocky outcrop to click this picture. This has not been rotated. Thank you for identifying it as an orb weaver. I have posted another image also, which I think is a Jewel Spider. It would be great if you can check and let me know.
