I believe this is a black lace weaver.
I found it in my shed, appeared to be asleep. After studying the spider for about 10 minutes I noticed another smaller house spider come up behind it. The assumed black lace weaver rose it's back legs as if to defend itself.
Could anyone confirm the species of this spider? Many thanks
