Comments & ID Thoughts
My guess is that it is a Olios giganteus (Giant Crab Spider) just based on matching pictures with "spiders for Arizona". It was about as big around as a golf ball. I discovered (my 5 yo daughter, actually) in my backyard in North Scottsdale, AZ.
Mostly, I want to know if it is poisonous. Should I be worried about my kids and dog (60 lbs).

You’d really have to bother this spider significantly for her to bite you, so I wouldn’t worry… they’re usually on higher spaces anyway so should be fine… the bite is said to be painful but nothing to worry about. By the way I think you have the right species.
