Not sure what kind of spider this is. Went to visit my elderly mother and it was on the outside stairs. It wasn’t moving around much but, it was alive.

Dysdera Crocata, a Woodlouse Hunting Spider. This is an easy one to ID with a great photo like yours. They aren’t dangerous. The specialized fangs of this species are interesting. They scissor together at the points. The prey is pill bugs, which roll into little armored spheres. The spiders’ fangs wrap around the sphere and pierce the soft spot on the sides. You’re quite welcome! You probably did know my relatives. My grandfather was the City’s Santa Claus for photos with kids back then. I liked the city’s tacky old Christmas decorations everywhere. The Portuguese sweet bread (Tony’s? ) that we bought in Fall River when I was a kid is now distributed throughout New England. I can walk just 5 minutes from home and buy some here in New Hampshire.
