This looks like a False widow in the Steatoda family.
Probably, the color tint is off a bit. Pssst…Steatoda is a genus in family Theridiidae…the Tangle Web family 🙂

Great, today I got clear photos of a spider I haven’t identified before. Everything went right, it was a slow spider and I had my flexible flashlight and clip-on macro lens with me. When you’re feeling better the challenge is on for you to get outside and photograph as many species as you can. That’s my own challenge to myself- to build virtual photo albums of as many species as possible. I don’t count sightings if I don’t get a clear photo for my collection.
