Is it big like that because it was about to lay eggs? I dont k ow anything about spiders.
Hi, I think she’s a Brown Widow, Latrodectus geometricus. Yes, you do know something about spiders. 🙂 The females get more spherical and large as they get closer to laying (ovipositing) eggs. She will make a silken sac to hold the fertilized eggs in. Here’s a Spider Fun Fact: Female spiders have an opening (epigyne) that males place semen into when the female is old enough.
