Found this in the northern woods of Indiana. It was found dead hanging from a web strung from a fallen dead tree. I've always wondered what kind of spider it was as it was one of the biggest I've ever seen.

Hi … this is actually exuviae of a Dark Fishing Spider (Dolomedes tenebrosus) … a shed skin – spiders molt when they grow. Welcome to Spider ID. 🙂
