Comments & ID Thoughts
Found Ctenus hibernalis on my bathroom cabinet door above the toilet at about midnight. Still can't sleep thinking about those long legs. Not sure what the common name is for this guy - seems to be disputed - or if he's poisonous.

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 Your image has been filed. Yes, species in Ctenus don’t have the medically significant reputation of other species in the family (Ctenidae, Phoneutria) but there are a lot of unknowns regarding the venom of a lot of them so it’s good to err on the side of caution. Everyone’s immune system is different so reactions may vary.
