Comments & ID Thoughts
I didn't find it in its web, I found it right next to its web cramped up against a window, I have pictures of the initial encounter and where I found it. Can anyone help me put it into a family? I don't have any arachnobiologists

This specimen is confirmed to be a female Sahastata sp.
Sahastata sinuspersica?
This is a much better image and i think i can figure it out. The other images showed the spider being blue.
I’ve emailed you and told you I took better pics, you never replied.
This looks like something in the family Desidae. Here they are loosely called house spiders. I will explore the genus but i have not found tons of references for SA. It is not a ground spider. It uses webs for moving and shelter so if you keep her (i think a female) give her vertical height and some stucture for web making. Sorry i did not see the new image earlier.
Want to see her new enclosure and if it has enough vertical opportunities? As far as I can see, she seems to sit more on the ground.
Sure. This type of spider is not an aerial web spinner. It is a crevice hider. It moves about by walking yes, but uses web for shelter. Photos of her web shelter would help me too.
I sent you 3 pictures of where I encountered her, indoors. And 3 pictures of where I’m keeping her now, it’s a massive upgrade from her first moist jar. I sent you pictures of her fangs as well in previous emails.
I will go back and check if i ever got those.
This is probably in the family Filistatidae. I retract the previous suggestion. I will look for genera in SA and see if we can suggest a genus. This is another kind of “house spider” i think.
That’s the weird part, anytime I researched spiders in SA, I barely found any information whatsoever. It’s difficult. Hopefully you find something
Looks like a female southern house spider(Kukulcania hibernalis)
You really think so? Mary(first comment) and I actually were suspecting that. But there’s no reports of Kukulcania hibernalis in the middle east, let alone saudi arabia. So I’m seriously surprised that a kukulcania genus was in my house. I’m trying to keep it.
I did research and it is only in America. This spider stuns me.
There is the possibility that it got transported there. Problem with that is Sanad said he saw the male too!!! Sanad got in touch with the author of a paper on UAE spiders and he said it was genus Sahastata. He was going to look over photos again I think.
