The length of the spider is about a thumbnail (with the legs). It seems like a Latrodectus tredecimguttatus male. It does have the thirteen red/yellow spots with a white outline on it’s back as well.
I spotted a female widow in a water drain one month ago, so it seems probable.

I agree with you – this is a Latrodectus species.
