Comments & ID Thoughts
Olios giganteus (Giant Crab Spider)? I need Spiderman… or Spiderwoman. ;-) For perspective, this is an Elf Owl (Micrathene whitneyi), the smallest owl in the world, at the entrance to a nest in a Saguaro. Adult owl total length 12.4-14.2 cm, mass 35-55 g (4.9” - 5.6” total length and 1.2 - 1.8 ounces).

Does look like a Giant Crab spider
Thanks.
I’m now pretty certain that this is a Giant Crab Spider (Olios giganteus). Is there a way to change the ID from “Unidentified” to “Giant Crab Spider (Olios giganteus)” so that others can see it? Thanks.
Amazing photo! Sorry, I can’t help with identifying your spider, but I agree with J_staff99.
Wow, what a fantastic shot.
