Comments & ID Thoughts

This is a very smart spider, the body is about half a centimeter. It was walking on my daughter’s arm and jumped and then met her. She first thought it was a large tick. Would be very interested if anyone can identify and let us know if it is poisonous or dangerous. Thank you!

Unsure of the species, but very definitely Salticidae, the jumping spiders. Not dangerous. Known for their intelligence, curiosity, and excellent vision. Some are kept as pets.
