ItsyBitsy

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 This looks like a Huntsman Spider (Sparassidae), tentatively looks like one in the genus Heteropoda.

Reportedly local pain and swelling. They’re not considered to be of medical significance, everyone’s immune system is different though, some may be more sensitive than others.

Hi. There are to many variables to predict the outcome of any bite.None of the Sparassids are regarded medically significant. What have been reported would be much like a bee sting.
I can’t speak for all, but these spiders seem reluctant to bite and takes some provocation.
I have seen them mistake a finger poked at them for prey though.
Your spider looks to be one of the Holconia genus, banded huntsman, popular in the pet trade,I would think a few have been bitten. Allen Henderson at the Australian museum relates these are not as dangerous as a honey bee.
