Found indoors on stove top. Looks pregnant? Rural area. Perhaps not a local spider but arrived in a package?

I wonder if you might have found Araniella displicata, the Six-spotted Orb-weaver.
I think so. They have variable markings except for the red spots. @MINatureWatcher She’s gravid. She isn’t technically pregnant. Female spiders store the semen they are given, then release it onto the eggs when the eggs are leaving their bodies. A cross between internal and external fertilization, I think. Saving the diploid fertilized development for when the eggs are out of the body saves room for the females to prepare many more eggs. She’ll deposit her eggs in Autumn, they are growing now to a larger size.
