Loxosceles reclusa (brown recluse) or loxosceles rufescens (mediterranean recluse) is my guess. I’m sure someone here will know for certain, but either way I’d get it as far away from children (and myself) as possible.

I would say it is certainly some type of loxosceles, which means its bite is likely to be at least slightly problematic.

Their venom is dangerous, it can kill pets and cause serious injury to people. The good news is that they rarely bite. I don’t know how worried you should be. The first thing I would do is the vacuum everything, under, over, behind. When you empty the vacuum bag the contents outdoors. Sticky tape and glue traps are effective for finding out what you have and from blocking their movement to certain areas. Like the other person said, there is some cause for concern but I wouldn’t overreact. We had a Mediterranean Recluse on our bed just a few days ago and I just caught it in a glass and set it free away from the house. After that I vacuumed behind furniture and things like that but the chances of being bitten are low. Apparently recluse spiders are most likely to bite people when the seasons change.
