I think this is a Zebra Jumping spider, Salticus scenicus.
Salticidae (Jumping spiders) account for about 10% of all spider species, which is the largest family of spiders in the world. Very common in N. America, but I have yet to see a Zebra Spider other than in photographs. Jumpers tend to be very curious spiders, many with eyesight as acute as a cat’s!

I somehow missed this response!
Thanks so much for the help here and the adsitiouonfo.on the jumpers. They are very intriguing.
And this little guy is also doing quite well considering his current leg count! Poor fella.
