Oh my! What an incredibly lost crab spider!
It might be Misumenoides formosipes, the White-banded Crab Spider, if those are black spots I see on the legs. These spiders hunt outdoors, in flowers, ambushing insect visitors.
I’ve never seen one found indoors before. Could it have come in on fresh flowers?
Absolutely could have come in on fresh cut flowers! We are always making arrangements for the house!
And yes there are black dots on the joints.
Awesome! I imagine you see a lot of hitchhikers, then. Fresh flowers are wonderful. Do you grow them yourself? What kinds do you like best?
A few ;o) Hydrangea, butterfly weed (asclepsia), Mexican viloets, day lilies, rose campion, wide array of coleus, obedient plant, Pandorea, ginger, turmeric, seedum, hibiscus, rue, confederate rose, aloe, aluminum plant, jade plant, iris, impatience, crocosmia, wysteria, moon flower, perilla, mint, ummm. . . a few others I’m not sure the names of right now :0)
Oh, wow! You’re quite the gardener! I don’t even know what all of those plants are. You must get lots of butterflies and hummingbirds! Wisteria is lovely. It always makes me think of quiet, ancient places because of the time it takes to grow.
What is a moon flower?
It’s great to grow your own spices – ginger, turmeric, hibiscus, and mint. I love those flavors. Do you use them a lot in cooking?
Well a moon flower opens at sundown, or better yet when the moon comes out! It starts with a huge elongated bud that hangs its head down, and as it opens it lifts its head to heaven! Yes I even saw a hummingbird this evening on the asclepsia! What a Blessing! The butterflies are also a delight! Haven’t seen a monarch yet, but saw two caterpillars that turn into a monarch! So I’m keeping watch! I sacrificed a rue to feed the buggers! I can’t say I’m a gardener. I plant, and sometimes water, but God gives the increase! I… Read more »
Wow, that sounds like a wonderful flower! I haven’t tried mint with melon, but it sounds good. I have tried basil with watermelon. It sounds odd but the flavor combination is reminiscent of mint and delightfully refreshing. I also like to use fresh basil in my turkey rolls – I take a piece of sandwich turkey, put a leaf of basil, add some mozzarella, roll it up, skewer it with a toothpick, and broil it till the edges are crispy. It’s good for low-carb lunches and protein-rich snacks, and can be adapted into tons of different flavors. Nothing in my… Read more »
Wow! Time of trouble for sure! Matt (24)3 seed THE sign. One thing I’ve learned to do is take heed how I hear (605) 781-9734 . Let them hear what the . . .
It has been quite a year, that’s for sure. I appreciate your intentions in sharing your information source with me. Personally, I am inclined to remain cautious, standing only where I am absolutely sure there is solid rock beneath my feet. I recommend you consider the implications of Matt (24)36 and 23-4. However, I can in all sincerity leave you with 2Pet(1)2 and my best wishes. 🙂
God bless you.
🙂 Same to you.
