Sorry the pic is so bad. This is the underside of the spider which has a colorful design on its'abdomen. Including it's legs, was about 1" long. Slender body for length of legs. The overall color was pale yellow, with brown markings on its' legs. It was sitting in a messy web in my BBQ. The BBQ had a lid and was covered. It was under the lid. Don't know how it avoided getting baked by the sun.

I think it might be a Brown Widow Spider. We have plenty of Black Widows around here, but I have never seen this one before.
