Comments & ID Thoughts
I had more than a dozen of these spiders in my swimming pool last night. It looked like they were walking on the surface of the water. Not sure if a wolf or fishing spider. Do they live in the water? Should I be worried? Thank you

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 This is a Wolf Spider (Lycosidae), Hogna baltimoriana. Sometimes spiders are atracted the the water in a pool but once they get in some of them can’t get back out on their own.
