I'm use to black widows daily but don't know what this is. It was inside the crate with my seven week old puppy.. I'm praying that he didn't get bit. It's larger then a quarter. I just had eye surgery so my vision is not good now. Looks brownish black with thinner body. Not a reactive spider. My cats keep wanting to give it a whack. They get their nose to the crate and no movement. I hate killing things but I don't want any of my pets bit so it's got to go unless it can be identified right away. I'm in central California, Atwater. The crate was in my shed til this morning. It must have been hiding good when I put the blanket in there. Unless it came from my car. Oh no!!!

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 Unfortunately there’s not enough detail in this image for me to be certain what this is. My best guess on what I can make out though is a male Crevice Weaver, Kukulcania sp.. Compare to:
