Hi there! This looks like Steatoda nobilis, the Noble False Widow.

You are very welcome! In general, Steatoda spiders are shy of humans, preferring dark, undisturbed places. Most of the Steatoda nobilis specimens I have seen are significantly darker than that, with the white markings very small. I have heard that Steatoda spiders darken as they age, so this may be a juvenile or young adult. It is not particularly rare in the UK – we see pictures of it submitted regularly. Thanks for your detailed reply. I really appreciate it! Yeah, he wasn’t too big, max 2cm with legs. I just placed him outside as didn’t want him in the house.
Is it normal for them to have pure black legs?
