Hoping it was just a common house spider, or “Tegenaria domestica”. It was reddish brown, had about the size of a quarter leg span, large pedipalps, and almost two distinct eyes. The abdomen had kind of a chevron pattern in the light, and slightly pronounced spinnerets.
